At TM2Space, we’re not just building satellites—we’re redefining the future of AI computation. We’ve always believed that space holds the key to solving some of Earth’s biggest data challenges, and now, we’re proving it with MOI-TD, ‘India's First AI laboratory in space’.
This isn’t just another tech project. It’s the beginning of a revolution in how we process and analyze data. The idea was simple, and yet incredibly ambitious—what if AI compute didn’t have to be constrained by Earth’s limitations? What if we could take the power of space, where solar energy is infinite, cooling is natural, and there are no latency bottlenecks, and build the next generation of data centers—above the planet?
Why We Took AI to Space
Traditional data centers are struggling to keep up. AI workloads are exploding, energy demands are skyrocketing, and latency remains a stubborn barrier. We saw the problem clearly—terrestrial infrastructure wasn’t going to cut it for the future of AI.
That’s why we launched MOI-TD - My Orbital Infrastructure – Technology Demonstrator aboard ISRO’s PSLV C60 in December 2024. This wasn’t just another satellite—it was a declaration of what’s possible when AI and space converge.
"We didn’t go to space for the spectacle—we went because Earth’s infrastructure is hitting its ceiling. The future of AI demands a new frontier, and space is that frontier. With MOI-TD, we’re proving that orbital infrastructure isn’t science fiction. It’s the next logical step.”

How MOI-TD Works
MOI-TD is packed with cutting-edge tech to test what AI processing in space truly looks like.
🚀 AI-Powered Onboard Computing– We’re running neural networks in orbit, processing raw space data instantly rather than waiting to transmit it back to Earth.
🔭 Smart Sensor Integration – Our payload is packed with sunsensor, RGB & UV sensor, Magnetorquer, airTorquer, reaction wheel, Edge-TPU, On-board computer, flexible solar cell, Inertial measurement unit, Camera, allowing MOI-TD to make split-second adjustments and perform real-time analysis.
⚡ Solar-Powered Compute– Zero maintenance of power generation panels compared to terrestrial and higher intensity of light, coupled with efficient triple junction solar cells. making them far more sustainable than ground-based data centers.
Our mission was a success! Every system—from zero-cube architecture to POEM adapters—worked flawlessly. The only challenge? Our camera experienced some over-saturation, something we’re refining as we prepare for the next phase.
We didn’t start TM2Space just to go to space. We started it to reshape what’s possible.
AI is advancing faster than the infrastructure that supports it. If we want to keep pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, we have to think bigger—beyond Earth* That’s what we’re doing. That’s why we’re here.
And this is just the beginning. 🚀
