EarthSense

Spectral Sensor is a compact, low-power spectral sensor designed for CubeSat platforms where mass and power budgets are tight. It measures reflected solar radiation to derive surface albedo across its spectral response band. The same measurement supports use as an Earth sensor, providing coarse nadir determination for attitude and pointing checks. A single I²C interface handles configuration, mode control, and data readout, minimizing harness count and integration effort. Its small form factor and low quiescent draw allow continuous operation without impacting the platform power budget.
